When the kid was 2, our daycare provider gave us a bottle of homemade ice-cream topping for Christmas. She gave it to us on Christmas Eve.
Thus began our crazy family tradition. On Christmas Eve we eat ice-cream for dinner! The kid thinks it is awesome and is always bringing it up. She hasn't caught on that this always happens on Christmas Eve.
She also hasn't caught on that we have a big "snack" around 5 pm. Followed by the ice-cream dinner at around 6:30 or 7 pm. Usually our snack is Chinese food. I wonder how much longer I can get away with claiming that dessert is dinner?
