This past week the kid has been at the cottage with my parents. Next week she'll be at home. While we are at work she'll be in a day camp.
Not an overnight camp.
The 6-year-old thinks that we're sending her to an overnight camp. I have no idea where that idea came from. Well, actually, I do. I asked her if she wanted to join Brownies or Cubs in the fall. So, I'm guessing that she heard, "you're going to go to overnight camp next week!" instead of "Do you want to join Brownies or Cubs? It might mean you get to go camping at some point with your troop."
You can see how easy it is to make a mistake like that. Right?
